Aniimo Operation: Egg Heist Beginner Guide – Win Up to a Prismana Egg! Unlock, Escape Conditions and Key Rooms

Level 50 · Wayfarer III · Beginner/Hard/Nightmare/Chaos Challenge · Eggshell Coins · Key rooms · Beginner Protection · Egg Boat Safe
In Operation: Egg Heist you find a Lost Sanctum on the island, grab eggs and escape on the Egg Boat
Operation: Egg Heist is an extraction mode: in the Lost Sanctum of The Lost Isles you grab Aniimo eggs and Ancient Relics and escape on the Egg Boat. You can get Umbral Aniimo Eggs and, with luck, even Prismana eggs. New players usually get stuck on where to find eggs, when they can escape, and which keys and gear to bring. It unlocks at level 50 with Wayfarer III, and you keep your haul only after meeting the escape condition and boarding the Egg Boat. This guide covers unlocking, difficulties, escape conditions, key rooms, what you lose and what loot to keep, based on the game data.
  • Unlock: character level 50 + Wayfarer III
  • Team Mode is 1–3 players with four difficulties: Beginner · Hard · Nightmare · Chaos Challenge (higher ones unlock with your Egg Heist rank)
  • You keep everything only after meeting the escape condition and boarding the Egg Boat
  • If you fail, you lose your Egg Heist backpack, gear and its contents, and Rank Points (Beginner Protection covers your first 3 rounds per difficulty)
  • In the Sanctum, go for Egg Nests, chests and the Umbral Stellarys (boss) — MOANIIMO's Random Sanctum Finder shows where they are
  • Items in the Egg Boat Safe survive a failed run
  • Rewards: mostly regular Aniimo eggs and Umbral Aniimo Eggs, and rarely even Prismana eggs

FLOWOne run, step by step

6 steps
1

Prepare

Backpack, BINI #9 gear, the right key for the difficulty

2

Land on an island

You start on one of the islands of The Lost Isles

3

Find the Sanctum

Check the Lost Sanctum entrance on the map

4

Egg Nests · chests · boss

Use the Random Sanctum Finder to locate eggs and chests

5

Meet the escape condition

Deliver an egg or collect Eggshell Coins

6

Escape on the Egg Boat

Only then do you keep everything

Key point: it is only yours once you escape on the Egg Boat

Most important
• Meet the escape condition, then board the Egg Boat to take out every egg, relic and chest from that run. • If you faint or use Quit Match, you lose your Egg Heist backpack, equipped Egg Heist gear and everything in the backpack — and it cannot be recovered. You also lose Rank Points. • Looting a key room and quitting from the menu does not work. • Exceptions: Beginner Protection applies to your first 3 rounds at each difficulty, and items in the Egg Boat Safe survive a failed run.

1Egg Heist unlock conditions and how to enter

  • Unlock: reach character level 50 and Wayfarer III. (In-game text: "Reach level 50 and become Wayfarer III to unlock")
  • In-game note: "Eggs submitted in the match are shared by the whole party, and you get the rewards when you evacuate safely!"
  • Team Mode is played solo or in a party of up to 3.
  • Beginner, Hard and Nightmare need no ticket. Only Chaos Challenge uses 1 Chaos Ticket per entry.
  • Chaos Tickets can be bought with Eggshell Coins in the Egg Heist shop once you reach the rank Elite Egg Seeker. The first costs 20,000 coins and the price rises up to 400,000 coins, with up to 20 per day.

2Difficulty differences: Beginner, Hard, Nightmare, Chaos Challenge

Based on the game data (difficulty settings). Higher difficulties unlock as your Egg Heist rank goes up.

  • Higher difficulties have a shorter time limit, more trap damage, more elite monsters and a higher Eggshell Coin requirement to escape.
  • In Chaos Challenge, as the game warns, deployed Aniimo's attributes are heavily limited, but the quantity and quality of eggs and supplies are greatly increased. The game recommends going as a party.

3How does an Egg Heist run go?

  • In-game tip: "Search the ruins of the Lost Isles for the entrance to a Lost Sanctum. Venture inside to find precious Aniimo eggs, then escape with them by boat."
  • Open the map to see the Sanctum entrance. Inside, avoid traps and monsters and find the Egg Nest to dig up rare eggs.
  • Twine with the egg to move it to the exit, then return to the outer island and deliver it to the Egg Boat.
  • Once the escape condition is met, the objective changes to "Evacuate safely on the Egg Boat". Come out to the island, go to the Egg Boat shown on the map and board it.

4What to do in the Sanctum: Egg Nests · chests · boss

  • ① Find Egg Nests: there are several Egg Nest spots, but eggs appear at only some of them, not all. Some Egg Nests are inside key rooms.
  • When you dig up an egg, the game announces "The slumbering nest guardian has been awakened!" Be ready to fight before you dig.
  • ② Find chests: the better the chest, the more Eggshell Coins you get. It is the fastest way to meet the Eggshell Coin escape condition.
  • ③ Defeat the Umbral Stellarys (boss): an Umbral Stellarys appears as the Sanctum boss. In battle it is shown as "Alpha Stellarys" with the Umbral mark. It has a chance to drop Honeyglow Starine, an Ancient Relic used to unlock Egg Heist Talents such as Self-Revival.
  • The Sanctum layout changes every run. Let MOANIIMO's Random Sanctum Finder read your minimap and it shows which Sanctum you are in, plus the chests, Egg Nests and exit.

5Egg Heist escape conditions and Eggshell Coins

  • In-game tip: "Once you’ve collected enough valuable ancient relics or successfully delivered eggs, the evacuation objective is complete. You can board the Egg Boat and leave safely!"
  • The escape condition panel shows both conditions with "0/1" below them: meeting either one is enough (except Chaos Challenge).
  • Eggshell Coins are the combined value of the items you and your party have picked up. Only what is in your backpacks counts, and dropping an item takes its value back off.
  • The thresholds are 20,000 (Beginner), 60,000 (Hard), 150,000 (Nightmare) and 300,000 (Chaos Challenge). In Chaos Challenge, delivering an egg alone is not enough — you need 300,000 Eggshell Coins.
  • Once the condition is met, you still have to reach and board the Egg Boat within the time limit. Meeting the condition without boarding counts as a failed escape.

6Keys and how to use key rooms

  • Some rooms inside the Sanctum open only with a key. Without one, the game says "○○ is missing — cannot activate!"
  • Key rooms hold good chests and many Ancient Relics, and some Egg Nest spots are inside key rooms.
  • Key room doors are usually guarded by enemy Aniimo. Key rooms appear as an icon on the map and minimap, and in the Random Sanctum Finder.
  • Keys can be bought with Eggshell Coins in the Egg Heist shop.
  • What you take from a key room also leaves with you only if you escape on the Egg Boat. Looting a key room and quitting from the menu loses it all.

7What do you lose if you faint? Beginner Protection and the Egg Boat Safe

  • If you fail to escape (faint, time out, or Quit Match), you lose your Egg Heist backpack, equipped Egg Heist gear and everything in the backpack. It cannot be recovered.
  • You also lose Rank Points.
  • Beginner Protection (in-game "Special Rules"): each difficulty in Team Mode has 3 rounds of Beginner Protection. During this period, even if you fail to extract, your BINI #9 unit, amplifier, chip, backpack and all items inside are retained, and no Rank Points are lost.
  • Beginner Protection counts the rounds you join, not the failed extractions. Entering a match uses one protection round.
  • Only your own items are returned. Items belonging to other teammates that you were carrying are not retained.
  • During Beginner Protection rounds there is no fog on the map while you explore a Lost Sanctum, so you can view the entire Sanctum map (map screen only — the fog in the field stays).
  • Double Points: your first successful extraction each day earns double Rank Points.
  • Egg Boat Safe: unlocked on the Egg Boat Upgrade line of the Egg Heist Talents. Items placed in the Safe slots at the bottom left of the backpack screen survive a failed run. Put keys and valuable relics in it as soon as you get them. More slots and a higher weight limit come from the same line.
  • When you go down: a party member can revive you. With Self-Revival unlocked, you can get yourself back up once per match while a teammate is alive. Self-Revival is the last node of the Personal Growth line in the Egg Heist Talents and needs 2,500,000 Eggshell Coins, 8 Honeyglow Starine and 10 Gold Essence, so it takes quite a lot of Egg Heist runs.
  • Gold Essence: dropped at a low rate by Aniimo you defeat in the Sanctum on Hard or higher.

8What to prepare before your first run: backpack, gear, key

  • Backpack: in-game tip: "Before exploring, equip a backpack. A good backpack lets you bring back more ancient relics!"
  • BINI #9 gear: equipping the right Unit and Energy Amplifier gives a big attribute boost, and higher-grade gear can also hold Chips.
  • Key: bring the key for your difficulty (table above).
  • Chaos Challenge: you need a Chaos Ticket.
  • Your Aniimo: see the Operation: Egg Heist picks in MOANIIMO's formation tool.

9Egg Heist rewards: which eggs can you get?

  • The eggs you mainly get in Operation: Egg Heist are regular Aniimo eggs and Umbral Aniimo Eggs. Umbral Aniimo Eggs are rare, but you can still get a few a day.
  • Umbral Aniimo Egg: always hatches an Umbral Aniimo with Perfect Potential.
  • Prismana eggs (Mysterious Prismana Egg) also drop. As the game describes, they always hatch a Prismana Form Aniimo, and using a Sparkling Cube may give Shadow Sparkling. They are rare, but many players keep running Egg Heist just for them.
  • What Umbral, Prismana, Sparkling and Perfect each mean is explained in our concepts guide.

10Loot: what to keep and what to sell

  • What to keep: take the highest-grade loot for that difficulty. Your backpack has slot and weight limits, so prioritize items with high value for their weight.
  • On Nightmare, players usually keep Legendary and Prismatic loot, and also hold on to Gold Essence, which you need for unlocking Talents.
  • Safe to sell: Ancient Relics other than the ones you will place in the Collectible Display Case, gear with no durability left, and lower-grade gear you no longer use once you can equip a higher grade (e.g. blue and green gear once you can use purple).
  • Safe tip: unless you urgently need money, just don't sell Prismatic items and you will be fine.
  • Collectible Display Case: where you display Egg Heist Ancient Relics. Displaying them earns Collectible Points, with rewards at each point threshold.

11MOANIIMO tools for Operation: Egg Heist

  • Random Sanctum Finder: reads your minimap to show which Sanctum you are in and where the chests, Egg Nests and exit are. It also offers a small overlay map and your position.
  • Egg Heist outdoor map: Egg Nests and key spots on The Lost Isles.
  • Operation: Egg Heist picks: the formation tool recommends Aniimo for Egg Heist.

FAQ

Q. Is there a daily limit on Egg Heist runs?
No. Beginner, Hard and Nightmare need no ticket and can be entered any number of times. Only Chaos Challenge uses 1 Chaos Ticket per entry (up to 20 can be bought per day).
Q. Can I just grab an egg and escape right away?
Yes. On Beginner, Hard and Nightmare, delivering 1 Aniimo egg meets the escape condition; then board the Egg Boat. Chaos Challenge does not accept eggs — you need 300,000 Eggshell Coins.
Q. Why can't I escape?
Either the escape condition (deliver 1 egg or collect Eggshell Coins) is not met yet, or you have not boarded the Egg Boat. Eggshell Coins count only items in your backpack, and dropping an item takes its value back off.
Q. What are Eggshell Coins?
The combined value of the items you and your party carry in your backpacks, used for the escape condition. They are also the currency for buying keys and Chaos Tickets in the Egg Heist shop.
Q. What are keys for?
They open key room doors inside the Sanctum. Beginner needs a Rusted Iron Key, Hard a Silver-Plated Key, and Nightmare and Chaos Challenge a Gilded Key. You can buy them with Eggshell Coins in the shop.
Q. What gear do I need for Nightmare?
The entry screen recommends Epic gear. In MOANIIMO's own play, it got comfortable from around Aniimo level 60; before that we went down easily.
Q. How is Chaos different from Nightmare?
Chaos Challenge needs a Chaos Ticket, requires 300,000 Eggshell Coins to escape, doubles trap damage and heavily limits deployed Aniimo's attributes. In return, the quantity and quality of eggs and supplies go up a lot.
Q. Can I play solo?
Team Mode is 1–3 players, so you can go in alone. For Chaos Challenge, though, the game itself recommends playing in a party.
Q. What do I lose if I faint?
You lose your Egg Heist backpack, equipped gear and everything in the backpack, plus Rank Points. Beginner Protection applies to your first 3 rounds at each difficulty, and items in the Egg Boat Safe are kept.
Q. Is the Sanctum map different every time? How do I find my way?
It changes every run. Let MOANIIMO's Random Sanctum Finder read your minimap to see which Sanctum you are in, plus chests, Egg Nests and the exit.
Q. Which Aniimo should I bring?
Pick your main Aniimo in the Operation: Egg Heist picks of MOANIIMO's formation tool and it recommends the sub Aniimo to bring along.
Q. Which loot is safe to sell?
Ancient Relics other than the ones for the Collectible Display Case, gear with no durability left, and lower-grade gear you no longer use. Unless you need money urgently, just don't sell Prismatic items.

Pro tips

  • •Put keys and valuable relics in the Egg Boat Safe as soon as you get them.
  • •Learn the flow on Beginner while you still have Beginner Protection.
  • •Once the escape condition is met, don't get greedy — head back to the Egg Boat in time.
If you fail to escape, you lose your Egg Heist backpack, gear and everything in it, and it cannot be recovered.
