Aniimo Personality (MBTI) Guide – Combat & Home Bonuses and Personality Evolutions

E/I · S/N · T/F · J/P · Energetic, Instinctive, Nimble… · Psyche Fruit · Geoclaw, Melloblum, Panpanta, Piopiota
Every Aniimo has a four-letter personality, and each letter gives a home bonus and a combat bonus
An Aniimo's personality is four letters from E/I, S/N, T/F and J/P. Each letter, such as E = Energetic, adds a small combat and RV Home work bonus. You can reroll it with a Psyche Fruit, and Geoclaw ([T]), Melloblum ([F]), Nighttime Form Panpanta ([I·J]) and Nighttime Form Piopiota ([E·P]) need a personality letter to evolve. This guide lists the bonus for every letter and the evolution conditions, based on the game data.
  • Personality = one letter each from E/I · S/N · T/F · J/P; every Aniimo is born with four letters
  • Each letter has a fixed personality name: E Energetic · I Instinctive · S Practical · N Nimble · T Tenacious · F Faithful · J Judicious · P Playful
  • Each personality has a combat bonus (e.g. N Nimble = Crit Rate +5%) and a home bonus (+20% work efficiency at certain facilities)
  • A Psyche Fruit rerolls the personality at random — you keep using it until the letter you want appears
  • Personality as an evolution condition: Budclaw → Geoclaw [T], Budsquire → Melloblum [F], Nighttime Form Popota → Panpanta [I·J] / Piopiota [E·P]

Key point: personality matters most for evolutions and home work

Key point
• Evolution conditions: Geoclaw needs [T] and Melloblum needs [F] to evolve. A Nighttime Form Popota evolves into Panpanta with [I·J] and into Piopiota with [E·P]. • Home work: every facility has a matching letter, and an Aniimo with that letter's personality works there with +20% work efficiency. • Combat bonuses are small: around 2–6%, so there is no need to swap your main Aniimo because of personality. • To change it, use a Psyche Fruit: the personality is rerolled at random, so keep using it until the letter you want appears.

1What is personality? — four letters, one personality per letter

  • Every Aniimo is born with a four-letter personality, one letter each from E or I, S or N, T or F, and J or P. However you get it — catching, hatching or breeding — it comes with a personality.
  • Each letter has a personality name such as Energetic or Instinctive, and each personality lists a combat bonus and a home bonus separately.
  • Personality stays the same when the Aniimo evolves, and the existing personality is kept when you turn it into its Prismana Form with a Prismana Orb.
  • Some Aniimo have a fixed personality that a Psyche Fruit cannot change. The game data also has special conditional personalities such as Extrovert Effort, so some Aniimo may have personality effects that differ from the table below.
Even the same Aniimo can have a different personality per individual. Tapping the personality shows the home bonus and combat bonus for each letter.

2Personality and bonuses per letter

Based on the personality descriptions in the game data (combat bonus and home bonus). The home bonus is +20% work efficiency while working at that facility.

  • F Faithful raises M.DEF and P Playful raises DMG Reduction. (The Korean client gives F and P the same name, but their effects differ.)
  • Combat bonuses are 2–6%, which is not much. For the same Aniimo, Capability Awakening and Star Up matter far more than personality.
  • The same Aniimo works faster at a facility whose recommended personality it has. The "Recommended" slot on a facility's management screen shows that facility's recommended personality letter. Higher work efficiency finishes the same job sooner.

3Changing personality with a Psyche Fruit

  • Psyche Fruit: "Feed to an Aniimo to change its personality." (in-game item description)
  • A Psyche Fruit rerolls the personality at random. You cannot choose the letter directly, so keep using it until the letter you want appears.
  • It does not change the personality of an Aniimo whose personality is fixed.
  • Psyche Fruit can be bought with Glimmer (per the item's source info).
  • You can also use one right away with the Change Personality button under the Personality - Combat Bonus window on an Aniimo's detail screen.

4Aniimo that need a personality to evolve

  • Budclaw → Geoclaw: Aniimo Lv.21 + a personality with [T] + 1 Freeze Stone. You must defeat the Alpha Geoclaw first to unlock this evolution. Evolving into Shrubclaw has no personality condition.
  • Budsquire → Melloblum: Aniimo Lv.27 + a personality with [F] + 1 Sprout Stone + 1 Stamen of Cubbo’s Rose. You must complete the Journey: Flowers and Thorns to unlock it. Evolving into Thornblade has no personality condition.
  • Nighttime Form Popota → Nighttime Form Panpanta: Aniimo Lv.39 + a personality with [I Instinctive, J Judicious] + nighttime + 1 Wave Stone. You must defeat the Alpha Panpanta to unlock it.
  • Nighttime Form Popota → Nighttime Form Piopiota: Aniimo Lv.39 + approach a Susuta of the opposite gender and get it to follow you + a personality with [E Energetic, P Playful] + nighttime + 1 Wave Stone.
  • A Basic Form Popota has no personality condition for evolving into Panpanta or Piopiota. The personality condition only applies to the Nighttime Form evolutions.
  • If you lack the letter you need, reroll the personality with a Psyche Fruit and then evolve.
Budclaw → Geoclaw evolution screen. Besides defeating the Alpha Geoclaw and Lv.21, it requires "Personality contains [Tenacious]".

5Temperament words that are not the four-letter personality

  • Apart from the four-letter personality, the game data has eight temperament words such as Cheerful, Impulsive, Gentle, Reliable, Diligent, Aloof, Sensitive and Cautious, and each species has a fixed set of possible ones.
  • These temperament words are not linked to stats or evolution conditions in the data. For evolutions and home bonuses, only the four-letter personality matters.

Pro tips

  • •If you are aiming for Geoclaw or Melloblum, check whether a Budclaw or Budsquire has [T] or [F] when you catch it.
  • •For an Aniimo that will stay at home, matching its personality to the facility's letter gives +20% work efficiency.
  • •For battle Aniimo, Capability Awakening and Star Up are a better use of resources than personality.
