Power-up conditions: water environment · same-color bubbles in 5 slots · 40m of movement · base stats · skill Might · Water Debuff · Held Items · Contract · how to get them · party setups
From the left: Sherro · Gachapus · Whirlbite

The three Water DPS get stronger under different conditions. Sherro needs a water environment, Gachapus needs the same color in all 5 bubble slots, and Whirlbite needs 40m of movement.

This post puts how Sherro, Gachapus and Whirlbite fight into the same tables. It covers their traits and power-up conditions, base stats, skill Might · Cost · Cooldown, Water Debuff, the effects Held Items add, the Held Item Contract, how to get them, and party setups.
  • Sherro: while in a water environment or after absorbing water, Water Elemental Boost +25% for 20s. Nearby water also adds skill damage.
  • Gachapus: when the slots hold 5 bubbles of the same color or a gold bubble comes out, Basic Attack Damage +80% for 10s. The damage of Bubble Barrage also counts as Basic Attack Damage.
  • Whirlbite: after 40m of movement, [Frenzied Assault] for 10s and 1 piercing dash. No water environment is needed.
  • Water Debuff: Whirlbite adds 2 stacks every time a skill hits. The skill descriptions of Sherro and Gachapus do not mention adding any.
  • Fission Needles: on Gachapus it applies to every bubble of Bubble Barrage, on Whirlbite only to the 3 hits of the Basic Attack.

3Sherro: A DPS That Fights in a Water Environment

  • Trait “Tidal Heart”: “While in water terrain or after absorbing water, increases Water Elemental Boost by 25% for 20s.”
  • Hydro Roll creates a puddle when the roll ends, so Sherro can make water on its own. It continuously consumes stamina while rolling and restores stamina when it hits (at most once every 3s).
  • Flowing Water Slash unleashes 3 slashes, and if all hit you can add 1 more powerful slash. Near a water environment, it absorbs water and adds damage of 30% Might. Its Cooldown went from 5s to 3s with the October 29, 2026 update.
  • Torrent Slam triggers nearby puddles to add damage of 30% of the original Might, and raises Damage Amp by 15% for 20s.
  • The Ultimate Torrent Blade also absorbs water near a water environment to add damage, and after it ends, Basic Attack range increases for 6s.
See Sherro in the Index →

4Gachapus: A DPS That Fights with Basic Attack Damage

  • Trait “Bubble Gachapon”: when the slots hold 5 bubbles of the same color or a gold bubble comes out, [Jackpot] for 10s, Basic Attack Damage +80%.
  • Bubble Barrage fires bubbles for 5s, and its damage counts as Basic Attack Damage. So [Jackpot] +80% and Super Jackpot +30% both apply to this skill.
  • The same color never comes twice in a row, so 5 slots of the same color are made with Rigged Draw. The only [Jackpot] that triggers by itself is the gold bubble (1% in the in-game description).
  • If you switch to another Aniimo during [Jackpot], [Jackpot] disappears.
See the Gachapus playbook →

5Whirlbite: A DPS Switched On by Distance Moved

  • Trait “Surging Wave”: during battle, 1m of movement = 1 notch of [Surging Wave], and 40 notches give [Frenzied Assault] for 10s. There is no water environment condition.
  • 1 Dodge Dash is 6 notches, and during High-Speed Cut's 15s of [Soaring Speed Up] it stacks 2x, which is 12 notches.
  • Every time you enter or refresh [Frenzied Assault], Wavebreaker Shark Rush turns into 1 piercing dash and 40% Might of damage is added.
  • Unlike the description, the Water Elemental Boost 25% of [Frenzied Assault] did not raise the damage numbers on the same target (High-Speed Cut 568 · 588 · 568 → 573 · 583 · 573).

6Skill Numbers

  • Might is the total value of one skill use. Bubble Barrage's 140 is spread over 5s and costs Energy 40, so you cannot compare the damage dealt at once from the Might numbers alone.
  • For skills with a 1s Cooldown, Energy effectively decides how many times you can use them.

7Water Debuff and Dewple

  • Water Debuff builds up on the target and lowers its Water Resistance by 1% per stack. The maximum is 20 stacks.
  • Whirlbite adds 2 stacks every time a skill hits (High-Speed Cut 3 hits = 6 stacks), and Wavebreaker Shark Rush uses 5 stacks.
  • Dewple's trait “Dewtide Surge” gives Water Elemental Boost according to the number of stacks when a Water Aniimo in the party hits a target with 10 or more stacks. Its Ultimate “Super Water Overload” adds 12 stacks at once.
  • In a Sherro or Gachapus party, Dewple's Ultimate is the way to get past 10 stacks.

8Effects Held Items Add

  • Ferocious Fang: +0.7 ATK per level · at +10: ATK +2 · at +15: Damage Amp +10% (doubled if ATK is above 15). It has no skill condition, so it is the same for all three DPS.
  • Fission Needles: each Basic Attack has a 50% chance to deal double damage. The difference depends on whether skill damage counts as a Basic Attack.
  • Omenbone Flute: each time you inflict an [Elemental Debuff], All-Round Elemental Boost +10% for 10s, up to 3 stacks (5 stacks at +10).

11Party Setups

  • These are party setups for each Water DPS.

Sherro + Piopiota + Panpanta + Erlath

Water
  • Piopiota's Surf makes 4 puddles, and Erlath's trait “Bubble” makes a puddle every 12s.
  • Water Elemental Boost: Piopiota's trait “Disco Aniimo” 20%, Piopiota's Ultimate 25% (30s), Erlath's Ultimate 20% (30s).
  • Panpanta's trait “Appeal” gives BREAK efficiency +30% for 15s when the party has an opposite-sex member of the Susuta Family.

Gachapus + Piopiota + Panpanta + Somniwing

Water
  • Bubble Barrage costs Energy 40. Somniwing's trait “Energy Full” raises max EP by 10, and its Ultimate “Butterfly Dance” restores 45 EP.
  • Water Elemental Boost: Piopiota's trait 20%, Ultimate 25% (30s).

Whirlbite + Dewple + Piopiota + Erlath

Water
  • The stacks Whirlbite adds and Dewple's Ultimate with 12 stacks bring the target to 10 or more stacks, which meets the condition of “Dewtide Surge”.
  • This setup has no BREAK Aniimo. If you put Panpanta in Erlath's place, you can meet the conditions of Piopiota and “Appeal” together.

FAQ

Q. Which of the three DPS deals the most damage?
Damage numbers measured under the same conditions are not known. ATK base stats are close at 121 to 124, and because their power-up conditions differ, you cannot compare them by Might numbers alone.
Q. What does Sherro do where there is no water?
A puddle forms when Hydro Roll ends. Piopiota's Surf (4 puddles) and Erlath's trait (a puddle every 12s) also make water. The traits of Whirlbite and Gachapus have no water environment condition.
Q. Does the Water Elemental Boost 25% of Whirlbite's [Frenzied Assault] apply to damage?
The description says 25%, but the damage numbers on the same target did not go up. The effect that turns it into a piercing dash is still there. The details are in the Whirlbite post.
Q. Who does Piopiota's “Disco Aniimo” apply to?
The in-game description is “Increases Water Elemental Boost for all opposite-sex Aniimo on the team by 20%.” You need to look at gender when building the party.
It is not known how much damage the three DPS deal under the same conditions, whether the Omenbone Flute stacks on Sherro and Gachapus, or whether the Water Elemental Boost given by the party applies to Whirlbite's damage.
