Alpha Geoclaw Location & Underground Cave Guide
Sleeping Glacy · Melt the ice wall with a Fire skill · Infuse 120 Lumin Amber into the BranchGeoclaw's powerful field Alpha (Lv.35) is not out in the open field but inside a hidden underground cave. You have to clear the ice wall behind the pond and infuse Lumin Amber into the Branch 120 times before the Branch roots blocking the way to the boss room disappear.
- The Alpha Geoclaw lives at the very back of an underground cave in western Nimbus Fields
- Melt the ice wall behind the sleeping Glacy by the pond with a Fire skill to enter the cave
- Infuse 120+ Lumin Amber into the Branch and the giant roots blocking the tunnel disappear
- Defeating the boss gives Geoclaw's evolution material (Freeze Stone) and a rare chest

Go to the pond west of the Nimbus Fields Branch
Head to the pond to the left of the Branch marker on the map and find the sleeping Glacy

Clear the ice wall (Fire skill)
Melt the ice wall blocking the small cave entrance behind Glacy with a Fire Aniimo's skill

Enter the cave & loot the chest
Enter the opened cave (you need to Twine into a small Aniimo) and grab the chest inside

Go to the boss inside the cave
If you have unlocked [Earthwake Revelation] by infusing Lumin Amber into the Branch 120+ times, the roots blocking the path behind the chest disappear and the way to the boss room opens

11. Entry point and the sleeping Glacy
- To the left of the Alpha Geoclaw marker on the western Nimbus Fields map there is a pond.
- A sleeping Glacy lies at the edge of the pond, and if you look closely at the rock wall right behind it you'll see a small cave entrance sealed with blue ice.

22. Clear the ice wall and explore the cave
- The thick ice blocking the entrance does not break with normal attacks — it only melts when hit by a Fire attack skill (e.g. from Flameruff or Scorchhowl).
- Once the ice is gone and you step inside, you can loot a chest in the first chamber.
- Past the chest, giant Branch roots block the tunnel (until [Earthwake Revelation] is unlocked).
33. Infuse 120 Lumin Amber into the Branch & clear the roots
- If roots block the way, interact with the Branch above ground in Nimbus Fields and infuse your Lumin Amber.
- Once you reach 120 infusions in total (120 Lumin Amber) and unlock [Earthwake Revelation], the giant Branch roots blocking the boss tunnel disappear.
- Follow the opened tunnel deeper into the cave to meet the field Alpha, [Alpha Geoclaw].
44. Alpha Geoclaw tips & rewards
- Geoclaw is a sturdy Ice-element defensive/BREAK Aniimo. Leading with Fire attackers deals strong super-effective damage.
- It is invulnerable while using its Tunnel pattern, so watch out for area attacks: dodge as it bursts out of the ground, then focus your damage.
- Defeating it completes the evolution unlock condition needed to evolve Budclaw into Geoclaw ([Defeat the Alpha Geoclaw]) and drops the evolution material [Freeze Stone] plus rare loot.

Pro tips
- •Short on Lumin Amber? Turn on the amber pins scattered across Nimbus Fields with the MOANIIMO map filter, farm them, then come back.
- •Don't forget to bring at least one Fire Aniimo to melt the ice wall, or the trip will be wasted.
- •Defeating the Alpha Geoclaw fulfils the evolution condition, so a Budclaw at level 21+ with the [Tenacious] personality can evolve into Geoclaw right away.
