Alpha Minespine Location & Cave Entry Guide
Beast Fang Ridge · Blocked cave entrance · Explosive Barrel + Fire skill or Head Hammer · Twine into Budclaw and TunnelThe Alpha Minespine is deep inside the cave at the Beast Fang Ridge map marker. The cave entrance is blocked by rock: blow up the Explosive Barrel with a Fire skill or smash the small boulder with a Head Hammer Aniimo, then Twine into a Budclaw-line Aniimo and use Tunnel to get through the small hole.
- The Alpha Minespine lives deep inside the cave at the marked spot on Beast Fang Ridge
- The entrance is blocked: move the Explosive Barrel from the left corner and set it off with a Fire skill to open the way
- Head Hammer from an Aniimo such as Grizbo can also break the small boulder blocking the path
- Twine into a Budclaw-line Aniimo, burrow with Tunnel through the small hole, then go straight into the cave

Go to the cave at the Beast Fang Ridge map marker
Head to the cave at the marked spot. The entrance is blocked

Clear the blocked entrance
Move the Explosive Barrel from the left corner and set it off with a Fire skill, or break the small boulder with Head Hammer from an Aniimo such as Grizbo

Twine into Budclaw — Tunnel through the small hole
Twine into a Budclaw-line Aniimo, burrow underground with Tunnel and pass through the small hole

Go straight into the cave and meet Minespine
After the hole, follow the cave path straight ahead to meet Minespine
What to bring

Two ways through the entrance
Key mechanicMove the Explosive Barrel from the left corner and set it off with a Fire skill, or break the small boulder blocking the path with a Head Hammer Aniimo. Either one opens the way.
11. Cave location and the blocked entrance
- At the marked spot on the Beast Fang Ridge map there is a cave that leads to Minespine.
- When you reach the cave, the entrance is blocked as shown in the screenshot.

22. Clear the path — Explosive Barrel or Head Hammer
- Option 1: Move the Explosive Barrel in the left corner of the entrance and set it off with a Fire skill to open the path.
- Option 2: Head Hammer from an Aniimo such as Grizbo also breaks the small boulder blocking the path.
33. Twine into Budclaw — Tunnel through the small hole
- Once the path is open, Twine into a Budclaw-line Aniimo and use Tunnel to burrow underground.
- Pass through the small hole while burrowed.
- After the hole you'll see a path leading into the cave. Keep going straight.
44. Meet Minespine
- You'll find the Alpha Minespine deep inside the cave.
Pro tips
- •Bring either a Fire-skill Aniimo (for the Explosive Barrel) or a Head Hammer Aniimo, plus a Budclaw-line Aniimo (to Twine and Tunnel), before you set out.
- •The Explosive Barrel is in the left corner of the entrance — if the way is blocked, check the left side first.
