A short, question-by-question summary of the developer note (Egg Heist special Q&A) posted on the official lounge on October 13. It covers why more Aniimo show up in the Sanctum, easier rescue of fainted teammates, what happens if you can't finish the S1 collectibles, where the Chaos Challenge is heading, the update cadence, and why raising ATK may not raise damage much. Under each question there is a note on what to keep in mind when playing now.
  • The devs say they did not change the number of Aniimo in the Sanctum or the chest odds. Spawn frequency, how long it takes for combat to end and the aggro range are being checked, and bugs will be fixed
  • Sanctum Aniimo don't only appear when you enter. If you explore for a long time or find a rare Aniimo egg or rare collectible, sleeping Aniimo wake up and more appear
  • Rescuing a fainted teammate will be made simpler, and players who rescue will get a reward
  • More ways to get S1 collectibles will be added late in the season, and they can be obtained again through events after the season ends
  • For Aniimo that aren't DPS, damage is corrected based on level when their ATK is low. That's why raising ATK may not increase damage much right now; this is planned to be fixed in version 1.1

1Q1. It feels like more Aniimo appear in the Sanctum since the update

Official answer: the number of Aniimo and chest odds were not adjusted. The behavior you describe is being looked into.

  • The devs say the number of Aniimo that appear and the chest drop odds were not changed.
  • Spawn frequency, the time it takes for combat to end and the aggro range are being checked now, and if a bug is confirmed it will be fixed right away.
  • Sanctum Aniimo don't only appear when you first enter. When something special happens, such as a long exploration or finding a rare Aniimo egg or rare collectible, sleeping Aniimo wake up and more appear.
  • The devs also say they will announce important changes earlier in update notices.

2Q2. Asking for a rescue or saving teammates after fainting is a hassle

  • This will be improved. A feature that makes the rescue process simpler is coming.
  • Players who actively rescue teammates will get a separate reward.
  • No date has been announced yet.

3Q3. If I can't collect everything before S1 ends, can I never get it later?

  • New content will be added late in the S1 season to give more ways to obtain collectibles.
  • After the season ends, events will let you obtain collectibles from past seasons again.
  • If you miss some, you'll get another chance later, so there's no need to rush to complete everything now.

4Q4. The Chaos Challenge is too hard, and there are few parties and Aniimo that work

The answer is that the Chaos Challenge stays the hardest Egg Heist team content, but more ways to deal with its dangers will be added.

  • More party options: more Aniimo that suit Egg Heist will be added.
  • More ways to get Chips: helpful Chips, such as healing Chips and Chips for close combat, will be easier to obtain.
  • More ways to cope inside the Sanctum: more gimmicks, such as activating a device or defeating a certain Aniimo to gain a temporary ability.
  • Better way to join hard content: future hard content will open like today's Limited-Time Challenge, with rewards matched to the difficulty, so players can choose whether to take part.

5Q5. How often will Egg Heist be updated from now on?

The answer is a big update every season, together with a small update every 2 weeks.

  • First half of a season: mainly PvE content (fighting Aniimo)
  • Second half of a season: mainly casual PvP content
  • Every half season: a new map, Aniimo and gameplay content, along with new collectibles
  • Every 2 weeks: new Aniimo with related drop items, and balance adjustments
  • New elite and gimmick monsters: new combat styles and dedicated challenge rewards

6Q6. Why doesn't damage go up for some Aniimo when I raise ATK?

It comes from a minimum correction added so that non-DPS Aniimo can still deal damage in combat. It is planned to be fixed in version 1.1.

  • For Aniimo that aren't in the DPS role, if ATK is below a certain level, damage is calculated with part of their ATK corrected based on the Aniimo's level.
  • BREAK role Aniimo are corrected based on their BREAK stat.
  • So while the real ATK is below the correction threshold, raising the ATK stat may not noticeably increase damage. This is why people say "I raised ATK but damage stayed the same."
  • In version 1.1, the devs plan to keep today's balance as much as possible while making raised ATK show up in damage more directly. Details will be announced before the update.
  • The correction threshold has not been disclosed. Until it changes, putting a little more ATK on a non-DPS Aniimo may have little effect.

FAQ

Q. Why does damage stay the same when I raise ATK?
For Aniimo that aren't in the DPS role, low ATK is corrected based on level when damage is calculated (BREAK role Aniimo use their BREAK stat). If the real ATK is below that threshold, raising ATK barely increases damage. The devs said they will change this in version 1.1.
Q. Is it a bug when more Aniimo suddenly appear in the Sanctum?
Not necessarily. If you explore for a long time or find a rare Aniimo egg or rare collectible, sleeping Aniimo wake up and more appear. The devs are checking reports that spawn frequency or aggro range seem to have changed.
Q. If I can't collect all the S1 Egg Heist collectibles within the season, can I never get them?
No. More ways to obtain them will be added late in the season, and after the season ends events will let you obtain past-season collectibles again.
