CHAPTER 01
Calls Beneath the Blitz Tree
MOANIIMO noteIn the middle of Blitzwood stands the Blitz Tree, where lightning never stops striking.
Game text
The Blitz Tree is a unique symbol of Blitzwood, and the lightning around it never stops falling. During the day, Bolties can be seen gathering there—are they... making phone calls?
The Bolties of Blitzwood believe electricity can connect all things—even hearts. That is why they love communicating via these electric "calls", even when standing face to face. You just so happened to overhear them, and clever BINI recorded the whole conversation.
Wait. We’re standing right in front of each other. Why can’t we just talk?
It’s tradition! Communication through electric currents—straight to the heart—that’s just how we roll!
Sure, straight to the heart... but it blocks the eyes sometimes.
The Bolty family believes that electric currents have the magical power to connect everything in the world, and that making a "phone call" is to connect one heart to another. They believe that through the Blitz Tree, they can talk to the World of Wonders. In fact, even the oldest Bolty doesn’t know the origin of the Blitz Tree—the only thing they know is that one hundred years ago, it suddenly became withered as the land lost its colors and then revived as the guardian returned colors seventy years ago. How it came into being and from where it came, no one knows. Or perhaps it came from the World of Wonders... Perhaps it’s just an ordinary tree chosen by lightning.
CHAPTER 02
The Call to Sariou
MOANIIMO noteIn the journey “An Answer from the Heavens,” you hear the story of a Bolty making calls to the Blitz Tree.
Game text
By the Blitz Tree, you see Bolties lining up to make phone calls. One is happily chatting with her faraway friend Sariou, saying that Sariou is the only one willing to be her friend. The voice on the other end responds slowly, like an old man, and tells the Bolty that she’s the best.
Sariou, you like Sweetwood Fruits that split into three too, right? I thought I was the only one in all of Blitzwood who liked them!
If only you could come to Blitzwood! I really, really wanna share the ones I found yesterday with you!
You’re... my best... friend.
But you’re right! We’ve never even met, and I don’t know if I’ll ever make it to where you are... but you’re totally my best friend!
All the other Bolties think I’m weird. You’re the only one who wants to be my friend.
Sariou, you really sound like an old geezer right now!

Who are you? Did you hear all that? I totally wasn’t pretending to be someone else on the phone just now!
Hello there, kind stranger... *zzt-zzt*... We’re not bad Bolties. Let’s keep this between us, alright...? *zzt-zzt*...
You uncover the truth behind the Blitz Tree phone calls: a Bolty grandfather and his grandchild have been hiding inside the hollow trunk, pretending to be the departed Bolties everyone is trying to reach in the sky. The young Bolty has only just taken over from her grandfather and is still learning the ropes. The old Bolty asks you to keep their secret, while the young one asks you to help her practice by role-playing several different Bolties on the other end of the line.
You see, my granddaughter took over for me at work, and it’s still a bit green, so...
Let me think... The ones who call most often are Sariou, Cultie, and Grandma Bolty. You can play one of them and talk with me—show me what I should say. Three is a bit much, though... Who do you want to be?
CHAPTER 04
Worries Behind the Phone Line
MOANIIMO noteYou take the role of the one answering and practice the Bolties’ phone calls.
Game text
You role-play as Sariou to help the young Bolty practice answering phone calls. Together, you comfort Bolties struggling with loneliness, low self-esteem, or unusual interests, helping them feel the warmth of friendship.
Do you think any Bolty would want to be my friend, even though I’m always in my cave talking on the phone?
My electricity’s nothing special, I can’t jump very high, my fur’s just... average... Sometimes I wonder what I’m even here for...
I like weird-tasting fruits... I like it when the current makes my fur stand on end... I like rolling around in piles of leaves... I guess... that’s why no one wants to play with me.
You play the role of Cultie during a practice phone call with a Bolty. Charmed by your unusual electrical current, the Bolty confesses her feelings—apparently for the 723rd time. Whether you accept or gently turn her down, she is delighted either way.
Your current is different from the others. It’s special... I can hear your heart in it.
Alright... That makes 723 failed confessions now...
Still... you let me down really gently.
CHAPTER 05
A Grandmother Never Met
Game text
You play the part of Grandma Bolty and practice phone calls with a young Bolty. She tells you about a marvelous Bolty she once met, and says Grandpa has always looked after her, but she still wishes she had a grandma. She describes all the things she imagines a grandma would do, and every word is full of longing.
But still... I think it would be nice if I had a grandma too.
In my head, my grandma runs really fast, but it’d still slow down to listen to me talk about my day.
Its electric current... It would hear what I’m really saying.
Even though I’ve never met it... I still miss it.
CHAPTER 06
The Thunder’s Reply
Game text
We play down here and they play up there! And they always crackle and call us to come play with them!
But lots of Bolties believe the ones they want to talk to are up there... so they really wanna go.

That’s why me and Grandpa hide here. To make everybody’s wishes come true.
We heard a couple of really loud thunderclaps just now, like they were saying, "We hear you!"
At first, the ruffled young Bolty thinks the thunder is a Bolty in the World of Wonders scolding her for lying. Then she cheers up, deciding it must be a friend in the sky calling back, "I heard you!" Convinced that her feelings really got through, she explains that Bolties believe their departed friends live in the World of Wonders in the sky, which is why she and her grandfather help everyone call them.

Grandpa’s Whiskers

I suddenly realized... there were so many things my silly granddaughter... *zzt-zzt*... never told me.
Maybe it needs a good friend, or someone it likes, or a grandma... *zzt-zzt*... and I just never realized.
You heard its voice... *zzt-zzt*... and you answered it...
It doesn’t matter now... *zzt-zzt*... What matters is... I can finally trust someone with my whiskers...
But without them... its grandma might not recognize me anymore.
CHAPTER 08
The Blazen Who Only Calls at Night
Game text
Hey, why do you think Boss Blazen guards the Blitz Tree without making a single call?
Boss Blazen does make calls, but only at night.
Why at night?
Maybe it’s worried someone might be listening in.
A Blazen calls out beneath the Blitz Tree and waits. No answer comes. It eventually leaves, and the space under the tree goes quiet again, empty except for a shooting star crossing the sky above.
Long ago, when the Alpha Blazen was still a little Bolty, it would always stay here with its mother. Back then, it did not believe lightning was an answer, so it could never evolve into Blazen. On the day its mother left, it came to the Blitz Tree and desperately hoped the sky would answer. Then, it evolved into Blazen. Late at night, when all was quiet, it would come beneath the Blitz Tree and call out with all its heart, but no answer ever came. Still, it chose to believe. So it kept guarding the Blitz Tree, guarding not only the wishes of other Bolty, but also its own hope. Until one day, a meteor crossed the sky, and an Egg fell beneath the Blitz Tree. It was as if an answer from the sky had finally arrived.
CHAPTER 09
The Golden Wish
MOANIIMO noteThe legendary perfume “Golden Wish” holds the story of the first perfumer, Hite.
Game text
When she was young, Baboni would always ask her mentor Avetine why the legendary perfume formula was called "Golden Wish" and why its main ingredient was named "Golden Answer." Avetine would tell her the story of Haidt, the founding perfumer. ———— Haidt was a genius perfumer, and also a strange one. She always lived in her own world. Perfumery was her way of speaking to the world, and fragrance was the world’s response. She could hear others, yet never quite understood them. It was as if her ears caught the words, but her heart could not truly listen. In search of inspiration, Haidt came to Blitzwood, where she was struck by lightning and fell unconscious. After waking up, she found herself in a cave beneath a Blitz Tree. She was brought there by a Blazen. A young, clueless Bolty was also there. Haidt could not understand them. Then the Blazen motioned for her to touch its bristling tail. A faint yet layered current of electricity flowed through her. Haidt withdrew her hand instinctively, but a word echoed in her heart: Concern. She could not understand the word, yet for the first time she felt the meaning of concern. Injured and touched by this feeling, Haidt stayed—living with the Blazen and its cub. They grew from strangers into family. Haidt would often go with the Blazen to the Blitz Tree. The Blazen would send its wishes to the World of Wonders through electric currents, and would also carry Haidt’s voice into the world. The thunder rolled on as usual, but nothing ever came of it. The little Bolty was not interested in this routine, as if it did not believe in the World of Wonders at all. So the days passed on. Until one day, the Blazen left—perhaps to the World of Wonders. Haidt went to the Blitz Tree one last time. She could not generate electricity, but she cried out from the very bottom of her heart. A peal of thunder sounded, and a branch fell—like a reply from a distant friend. ———— Young Baboni was deeply drawn to Haidt’s amazing story. She too longed to see that World of Wonders. Each time, Avetine would shake her head gently and call Baboni her "silly little apprentice." Baboni grew frustrated. She began to feel that perhaps Avetine didn’t really like her, especially when Avetine mentioned that once Baboni finished her studies, she would leave for a long journey. Baboni felt sad and was convinced that she just couldn’t wait to leave her foolish apprentice. It was only when she crafted Golden Wish that Baboni understood—what Avetine truly wished was for Baboni to grow into an apprentice she could trust and finally let go, and that Haidt had not named that fallen branch Golden Answer because the branch itself was extraordinary. Perhaps that thunder was not truly a reply from her friend Blazen. But the bond they once shared would never fade.
