CHAPTER 01
The Pretty Mud Ball
MOANIIMO noteBaleetle Jenny of Berylline Vale sets out to find the owner of a mud ball left in front of its home.
Game text
During the day, many Baleetles gather at Berylline Vale, and on sunny days, they race about without a care in the world. At this moment, Baleetle Jenny is standing in the middle of the road, staring blankly at a beautiful mud ball. What’s going on?
Not yours either? Man... who’d lose a ball this nice? It must be freakin’ out right now!
Givin’ a mud ball’s the classic move, y’know.
Yeah, nice and round—shows you mean it.
Tell me about it—too wet, you add dirt; too dry, you add water... Never ends.
CHAPTER 02
Johnny, Who Dreams of Being a Perfect Racer
MOANIIMO noteIn the journey “The Perfect Path,” Johnny confesses that its runs always fall just a little short.
Game text
I just like that feeling—hitting the finish line at top speed. If I can’t... it eats at me.
Legend says... one ordinary afternoon, when some Baleetles were just lazin’ in the sun, the ground started shakin’—and a track fell from the sky.
Nobody knew what to do... then one Baleetle shot across the entire track—faster than anything anyone had ever seen—and just... vanished.
That’s when we understood what this track was for... but no one’s ever matched that speed. Not even close.
I keep picturing that speed... that perfect run. Feels like chasing it is the only thing that makes sense.
Jenny’s nothing like me. It doesn’t care about the track at all... Maybe in its world, there is no track. Anything in its way—it just knocks it aside... or gets knocked flying itself.
After that... I kept thinkin’—maybe I could want somethin’ different. Maybe I could be more like it... just charge straight through everything, like, "I’m rollin’ here!"
I haven’t figured it out yet... So I rolled the most perfect ball I’ve ever made... and left it at its door. But I didn’t want it to know it was me, so...

Johnny is obsessed with speed on the track, chasing the legendary "perfect racer," yet he keeps losing focus out of envy for the reckless Jenny. He admits he’s the one who left the perfect mud ball at Jenny’s door. The moment the words leave his mouth, Jenny slams into a boulder, evolves into a Bouldus, and the stoneflower blooms.
CHAPTER 03
Two Minds
MOANIIMO noteIt is said that two different minds live together inside a Baleetle’s body.
Game text
A Baleetle’s body contains two consciousnesses: the active Baleetle Consciousness and the dormant Ball Consciousness. This also demonstrates the two possible evolution types for Aniimo in the Baleetle family. Racers who pursue perfection can evolve into a Waleetle, while those who charge in head-first can awaken their ball consciousness to evolve into a Bouldus. Which path is right, and which is wrong? The round stone in which the stoneflower grow is seemingly the destination, or perhaps it is simply a peculiar turquoise stone found resting in our world.
Every Baleetle has two consciousnesses: the Baleetle Consciousness and the Ball Consciousness.

The Jenny you know is Baleetle Consciousness Jenny—reckless, always crashin’ into something. I got tired of it... so I woke up and took over.
Jenny, who has now evolved into a Bouldus, tells you that every Baleetle has two minds: a reckless "insect consciousness" and a levelheaded "ball consciousness." The ball consciousness is currently in control. After hearing that Johnny, the owner of the lost mud ball, has been found, Jenny immediately decides to return the beautiful ball to him.
CHAPTER 04
Words Left Unsaid
MOANIIMO noteAt the end of the journey “The Perfect Path,” Johnny stands before Jenny.

I wanted to show you... just how perfect my mud ball is!
Mine’s not round at all, but I think it’s pretty too. Here!
Johnny never says what the perfect mud ball really meant, only that he wanted Jenny to see how perfect it was. Jenny happily accepts it, hands back a lumpy mud ball of her own, and speeds off. Johnny watches her go for a long moment, then invites you to a race he’s been waiting a very long time for.
It’s the only place I ever feel... perfect.
Johnny finishes his race flawlessly and evolves into a Waleetle, realizing he only ever feels perfect when out on the track. He decides to seek out even more new tracks, determined not to fall behind the Perfect Racer everyone talks about.
CHAPTER 05
The Old Bouldus’s Stone Ball
MOANIIMO noteIn Berylline Vale, there is Old Bouldus, wandering everywhere in search of a stone ball.
Game text
After that landslide, the Berylline Vale gained a track that seemed to “fall from the sky.” Countless Baleetles have come from far and wide to race down it, yet no one knows the true origin of the track. Go and talk to that old Bouldus wandering around in search of a stone ball! It witnessed how it all began.
Course it is! Took me ages—ages—to push that perfect stone ball all the way from the other side of the mountain!
Found the perfect stone ball on the far side of the mountain and tried to bring it over—but every time I got halfway up, it’d roll right back down. Every single time.
Then one day—boom! The whole mountain shakes, cracks open—the top just gives way!
Then I wake up, the peak’s vanished, I’ve evolved... and the ball? Gone. So I start lookin’, and lookin’... and lookin’.
I carved a whole uphill track into that mountain... waited for the landslide... pushed it all the way over—and now it’s shattered?!
I’ve made up my mind! I’m findin’ a bigger one. A rounder one. And I’m pushin’ it all the way back!
